Kalorex Preschool Taxonomy Framework

  • We have been inspired by globally accepted teaching methodology – Gardener’s theory of Multiple Intelligences, Reggio Emilia,  Piaget’s Cognitive Theory and Montessori Method which we incorporate in our teaching.
  • Multiple intelligence theory proposes eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults which are:
  1. Linguistic intelligence ("word smart")
  2. Logical-mathematical intelligence  ("number/reasoning smart")
  3. Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")
  4. Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")
  5. Musical intelligence ("music smart")
  6. Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")
  7. Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")
  8. Naturalistic intelligence ("nature smart")
  • Reggio Emilia approach considers environment as the third teacher and aims to promote children’s education through developing their listening skills.
  • Piaget’s Cognitive Theory approach aims at students’ cognitive development through sensorial experiences, pretend play, logical thinking and deductive reasoning activities.
  • Montessori Method helps in developing practical life skills, sensorial, mathematical, linguistic skills, cultural knowledge and understanding of the students.
  • We teach English through Phonics to enhance reading skills of the children.

Our main aim is to develop and nurture GLOCAL LEARNERS by providing the best of global education with local values.

  • The New Education Policy 2020 is based on the principle that education must develop not only cognitive capacities – both the ‘foundational capacities ’of literacy and numeracy and ‘higher-order’ cognitive capacities, such as critical thinking and problem solving – but also social, ethical, and emotional capacities and disposition.
  • The Foundational Stage curriculum consists of flexible, multi-level, play/activity- based learning.
  • Our Curriculum for Preschool : It offers opportunities to students for hands-on exploration and discovery that foster confidence as well as help them to develop critical thinking skills. The Curriculum is based on objectives for development and learning. These objectives are fully aligned with the formative years of child development and our learning framework. Our curriculum is designed to offer individualized instruction and meet the needs of every learner, with a particular focus on English language development.
  • The Syllabus sets out six areas of learning covering students’ physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Each of these areas include several aspects of learning which aims at holistic development of each child.

  1. Personal, social and emotional development (PSED)
  2. Communication, language and literacy (CLL)
  3. Mathematical development (MD)
  4. Knowledge and understanding of the world (KUW)
  5. Physical development (PD
  6. Creative development(CD)
